As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Shopping Center in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, including driving patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist guests with professional communication and customer service. You will support a welcoming environment while working with a team that values being agile, reliable, and innovative, with a people-first culture and integrity in every interaction.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and report relevant details according to site expectations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, storefront surroundings, parking areas, and perimeter access points.
• Help to deter unwanted activity by maintaining a visible presence, monitoring for unusual behavior, and addressing concerns through appropriate communication and escalation.
• Support access control and property rules by observing entrances and exits, assisting with directional information, and documenting security-related activities during each shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
