Tesla is seeking a Central Quality Manager to lead and develop the Quality organization at Gigafactory Texas Cell, with responsibility for audit teams, the laboratory, continuous improvement, supplier quality, and the MRB/COPQ teams. This position will involve process design, implementation, and project management to achieve quantifiable improvements to the product and process. The role will lead these teams to strengthen quality management systems and deliver a high-performance culture.

• Lead the audit team focusing on process, product, and system audits
• Lead the COPQ & MRB team
• Define processes and create standards for COPQ, MRB, testing, and escalation procedures
• Build a process to align the quality team and departments toward a shared understanding and prioritization of quality issues related to COPQ and daily quality routines
• Lead the Cell laboratory team, assuring smooth quality operations
• Lead SQE engineers and maintain supplier quality processes and escalation for both internal and external suppliers
• Lead CI engineers to drive continuous improvement, raise quality efficiency, and eliminate waste
• Identify gaps in the quality system and use the teams to fill them
• Collaborate with other sites/teams to drive toward common solutions that will become Tesla's "best practices"

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
• 5+ year of experience in a management and quality role
• Knowledge of quality system industry standards including ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and AIAG
• Excellent attention to detail
• Be a team player having the ability to collaborate well across diverse functional groups
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to manage and communicate the health and integrity of the data and systems
• The character and values to develop and lead a high-performance culture
• Strong operational leadership with extreme accountability, transparency, and efficiency
• Ability to implement and integrate AI tools into daily work and team routines
