The Driver License Examiner Assistant position with the Department of Transportation will give you the chance to help customers complete important licensing steps. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the daily operations of a Driver License Center by helping customers and reviewing identity documents for accuracy. You will promote safe licensing services and help ensure proper processing of applications and test results. As a Driver License Examiner Assistant, you will perform the following duties:
- Customer Assistance: Greet applicants and guide them through required driver license steps
- Identity Verification: Review identification documents to prevent fraud and ensure proper processing
- Test Support: Administer vision screenings and knowledge tests for applicants
- Data Entry: Input application information and test results into required computer systems
- Information Guidance: Provide details about REAL ID, renewals, transfers and license options
- Policy Compliance: Follow customer service rules and fee waiver guidelines in all transactions

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Overtime and travel as needed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.
