Job Summary

The Admissions, Records, and Registration Department at Phoenix College is growing, and we're seeking a candidate who excels at building strong relationships, communicating effectively, and staying organized in a collaborative, student-centered learning college environment. As a vital team member, you will provide comprehensive, multi-channel support (in-person, phone, email, chat, and text) to prospective and returning students throughout the entire enrollment lifecycle, including admissions, processing documents, registration, financial aid, and transfer requirements. Collaborating closely with the Welcome Desk and Contact Center, you will leverage Customer Relationship Management tools (CRM) and Student Information Systems (SIS) to process applications, manage student records, and ensure regulatory compliance. Additionally, you will support team operations by training staff, directing temporary workers, and assisting with cross-functional institutional events.

Essential Functions

55% - Student Support - Provides comprehensive assistance to prospective and current students across key enrollment areas, including admissions, process documents, registration, financial aid, international programs, and transfer requirements. Serves as primary staff for in-person Admissions, Records, and Registration services, including coverage at the Welcome Desk and Contact Center; Delivers support across multiple channels, with primary service via phone and additional assistance provided in person, as well as through email, chat, and text.

20% - Data Management - Collects, enters, updates, and verifies student information in systems such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Student Information System (SIS), and Amazon Connect. Reviews and processes student applications for accuracy, requests additional documentation as needed, and ensures student records are maintained in compliance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations.

15% - Team Collaboration & Training - Supports team operations by training staff, directing temporary workers, and providing evening coverage as needed. Actively participates in cross-functional committees to advance institutional goals. Provides backup support to the One Stop support staff.

10% - Special Projects - Assists with enrollment-related events and initiatives, and delivers presentations to groups as required. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution, and one (1) year full-time of student services or college teaching experience, or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, customer service, or related student development programs.

OR

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above, sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job, such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.

Desired Qualifications

1. One (1) or more years of people facing customer service experience.
2. One (1) or more years of experience working in a call center environment providing assistance to students and others via phone, email, and/or in-person.
3. One (1) or more years in a role related to admissions, records, registration, advisement, or financial aid.
4. Has experience working with student services systems, including online Student Information Systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, SIS), Customer Relationship Management (e.g., SalesForce, ASSIST), or Student Services Management (e.g., Cranium Cafe).
5. Demonstrated experience utilizing Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office.
6. One (1) year of full-time, relevant MCCCD experience within the previous two (2) years.

Special Working Conditions

  • This position requires a physical presence on campus with possible partial remote work depending on business needs to best serve the students, department, and college
