As a Security Officer Controlled Entry Specialist in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and monitoring entry and exit activity at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and other security-related issues.
• Support lobby and entry point operations by documenting visitor activity, maintaining accurate logs, and helping to enforce badge, key, and restricted area protocols.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and other access control systems to help identify potential concerns and report security-related observations according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
