Temporary Job Description:

The PPHIG Lab is seeking a temporary Research Study Assistant (50-100% effort) to join our collaborative research team from August through December 2026, with the possibility of extension or transition into a full-time, benefits-eligible position. You'll work closely with Drs. Judy Moskowitz and Liz Addington on research focused on understanding how positive emotions help people navigate stress, strengthen coping, and improve overall well-being.

Our lab develops and tests innovative behavioral interventions designed to increase positive emotions and enhance psychological and physical health across diverse populations. As a Research Study Assistant, you'll gain hands-on experience with every stage of the research process, including building surveys in REDCap, conducting qualitative interviews, preparing grant proposals and IRB submissions, registering studies on ClinicalTrials.gov, organizing and managing research data in Excel, and supporting a variety of ongoing research activities.

We are looking for someone who is organized, curious, and eager to contribute to meaningful research while developing hands-on skills across all phases of the clinical and behavioral research process. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone considering graduate training in psychology, public health, medicine, or a related field.

Qualifications Required:

  • Organization, multi-tasking, experience with REDCap and/or Excel a plus, strong communication, attention to detail, ability to work across multiple projects, time management.

In addition to salary, this temporary position is eligible for paid time off and paid sick time in accordance with Northwestern University policies. This position is not eligible for other benefits offered to regular staff positions
