JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS This position in the Department of Meteorology and Atmospheric Science at Penn State supports a scientific researcher to work on projects at the intersection of tropical cyclones, natural hazards, and data science. The successful candidate will:
Ideal candidates will have an M.S. degree (or higher) and prior experience with Python, tropical cyclone datasets, statistical-dynamical TC downscaling models, and working with gridded weather and climate data in NetCDF formats, along with strong scientific communication skills.
