Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY
The Personal Trainer provides individualized, evidence-informed exercise programming, coaching, and support to members within a medically integrated fitness environment. This role is responsible for delivering safe, effective training services, supporting behavior change, and contributing to improved health outcomes for members, including those with chronic conditions or special health considerations. The Personal Trainer collaborates with clinical and fitness staff to ensure programming aligns with established safety standards and supports the continuum of care
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Training Delivery & Program Design:
    Deliver safe, effective one-on-one and small-group training sessions.
    Conduct fitness assessments and design personalized exercise programs.
    Support group classes or orientations when assigned.
  • Member Engagement & Outcomes:
    Support member adherence, motivation, and long-term engagement.
    Promote personal training services and related fitness programs.
  • Monitoring, Documentation & Compliance:
    Maintain accurate session records and track member progress.
    Respond to emergencies according to facility policy.
  • Clinical Integration & Risk Management:
    Collaborate with Exercise Physiologists when working with special populations.
  • Facility & Operational Support:
    Assist with fitness floor supervision and member support.
    Maintain a clean, safe, and organized fitness environment.
EDUCATION
  • High School Diploma Required
  • Bachelors Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or related field Preferred
EXPERIENCE
  • 1 year, Personal training or fitness instruction experience Required
  • 3 years, Working with special populations and individuals with chronic conditions Preferred
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - Certification, CPR/AED Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification, Required
  • NCCA-accredited Personal Trainer certification (ACSM, ACE, NASM, NSCA) Required
  • Specialty certifications Preferred
