$54,683.20 - $91,145.60 The Clinical Research Revenue Cycle Coordinator I reports to the Program Lead, Clinical Trials Office and performs duties in support of the research billing and invoicing compliance activities within the Clinical Trials Office.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree in healthcare, administration, or research related field (Required)

Minimum Work Experience
1 year experience working in a clinical research environment including a stand-alone research site, a research department, or in research administration such as a centralized research office, or with an institutional review board (Required)

Required Skills/Knowledge
Familiar with medical terminology, CPT Codes, NCDs and LCDs
Knowledge of clinical research and clinical trials

Functional Accountabilities
Participates in accurate and compliant clinical trial billing
  • Ensure patient billing is consistent with clinical trial agreement, coverage analysis and informed consent and that charges have been appropriately allocated to research study versus other third party payer.
  • Review claims in power trials and compares with CTMS enrollment logs.
  • Complete journal entries in a timeline manner for patient care billing and according to department specific timelines.
  • Apply appropriate research discount based on sponsor type, service area and study tier consistent clinical trial budget.
  • Maintains and responds to general inboxes.
  • Maintains an inventory of all active clinical trials and compliance with CTMS patient activity.
Reconciliation of claims
  • Ensure timely and accurate clinical trial invoicing as assigned.
  • Facilitates the reconciliation of clinical trial patient care claims CTMS.
  • Communicates account irregularities to appropriate staff.
  • Follows up on findings to ensure that reconciliation has occurred.

The disclosed salary range includes the minimum and maximum rates within which Children's National believes an individual's base pay rate will fall for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the maximum of the pay range. The exact pay rate for this position will be based on a variety of factors in alignment with the Children's National compensation philosophy. These factors are legitimate and non-discriminatory including, but not limited to, the current market conditions; organizational needs; the individual's combination of prior work experience, level of education, knowledge, skills, and other qualifications. This base salary range does not include our comprehensive benefits package or any additional compensation for which this position may be eligible.
