Georgia Tech Office of Development (DEV)

Our fundraising team at Georgia Tech currently consists of more than 100 professionals who are focused on securing transformative philanthropy (major and principal gifts) to support the strategic priorities of the Institute and its colleges, schools, and programs, including Georgia Tech Athletics. For fiscal year 2024 (closed 6/30/2024), the Development team's efforts resulted in over $243 million in new gifts and commitments in support of Transforming Tomorrow: The Campaign for Georgia Tech which will secure more than $2 billion in new commitments and gifts from individuals, foundations, corporations, and other organizations. Job Summary

Provide specialized administrative services within a campus unit to include organizing and preparing correspondence, reports and other documentation; event management; records management, and related administrative activities. Typically provides work guidance to lower level administrative personnel with the unit. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: unit management and staff, vendors and office visitors. This position typically will advise and counsel: administrative staff . This position will supervise: N/A

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Originate and process correspondence, reports and other documentation.

Job Duty 2 -
Compile, organize and analyze data for use in reports.

Job Duty 3 -
Plan meetings and other events to include scheduling, reservations, arrangements, etc.

Job Duty 4 -
Make travel arrangements for unit staff management and staff as directed.

Job Duty 5 -
Maintain office supplies inventory.

Job Duty 6 -
Develop and maintain databases and records management systems.

Job Duty 7 -
Review and resolve routine administrative related questions and issues; provides input regarding new or revised unit administrative procedures.

Job Duty 8 -
Provide training and ongoing work guidance to administrative staff members as required.

Job Duty 9 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma

Required Experience
Three to four years of job related experience

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
Proposed Salary

Proposed Salary: $37,244 - $45,000 commensurate with education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires advanced skills in general office administration to include document processing and management, records management, event management, problem solving and office organization. Skill in use of advanced office related computer applications is required.
