What You'll Do
- Serve as Tesla's primary community-facing representative for the Fremont Factory and regional operations, acting as the main point of contact for local stakeholders representing Tesla's local leadership team
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with community organizations, neighborhood groups, civic leaders, and local residents
- Develop and execute a comprehensive community engagement strategy aligned with Tesla's corporate values, operational priorities, and sustainability goals
- Take on strategic initiatives from idea to execution as directed by manufacturing leadership, and responsible for independently scoping, driving, and delivering high-impact cross-functional projects from concept to completion
- Plan, coordinate, and represent Tesla at community events, town halls, public meetings, local forums, and workplace tours to increase community knowledge of factory operations and products
- Proactively identify, address, and escalate community concerns related to Tesla's Fremont/Bay Area operations while ensuring timely and transparent communication
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams (Government Relations, EHS&S, Communications, Legal, and Operations) to align engagement efforts, communicate environmental/safety commitments, and deliver consistent messaging
- Track and report on engagement activities, stakeholder feedback, and relationship status; maintain a stakeholder database and engagement log; and prepare briefing materials, reports, and presentations for internal leadership
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Affairs, Communications, Political Science, Environmental Studies, Urban Planning, Business Administration, or a related fieldor equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in community partnerships, public affairs, stakeholder engagement, technical program management, or a related discipline, with a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with a wide array of community stakeholders in Fremont and the surrounding Bay Area
- Experience interfacing with local government agencies, regulatory bodies, industry associations, and a strong understanding of Fremont/Bay Area community dynamics, local government structures, and the civic landscape
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking, facilitation, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and exercising sound judgment in sensitive situations
- Preferred: Experience working in or alongside manufacturing, industrial, or technology sectors, along with familiarity with Texas environmental, health, and safety regulatory frameworks (e.g., TCEQ, OSHA)
- Preferred: Experience supporting government relations or public policy teams, bilingual skills in Spanish, and existing relationships with Fremont civic, nonprofit, or industry organizations
- You are a natural relationship builder who is passionate about Tesla's mission, thrives in complex multi-stakeholder environments, and is proactive, diplomatic, and committed to long-term community partnerships

Expected Compensation
$104,000 - $270,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
