Essential Job Duties
The College of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University invites outstanding candidates to apply for a 3-year residency position in veterinary clinical pathology beginning July 2027. The training program focuses on in-depth learning of clinical pathology and ACVP board preparation under the supervision of 4 ACVP board-certified clinical pathologists.

The resident will join a busy clinical pathology service and play a role in student education and hospital interactions. In addition, there are local veterinary diagnostic labs and the graduate programs at the CVM draw on abundant resources available in the Research Triangle region (universities, industry, and government) to provide unique research and career opportunities. Applicants must possess a DVM or equivalent degree(s), have an excellent academic record, strong communication skills, and be committed to a career in veterinary clinical pathology. Clinical or a post- DVM experience is desirable.

NC State University is near two other major universities (Duke University and the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill) and the Research Triangle Park, which includes multiple government agencies, non-profit institutes, biotechnology, and large pharmaceutical companies.
