Job Summary

The Business Development Lead - Procurement is responsible for developing and executing strategic procurement initiatives that support remanufacturing and circularity programs across multiple business areas. This role serves as a strategic business partner, driving cross-functional collaboration, supplier engagement, governance, and early supplier involvement to improve operational efficiency, innovation, and long-term business value. The ideal candidate is an experienced procurement professional with strong business development, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.

Job Responsibilities



  • Serve as the primary procurement business partner for assigned business areas, ensuring alignment of procurement strategies and business objectives.
  • Develop and execute strategic procurement initiatives supporting remanufacturing and circularity programs.
  • Consolidate business priorities, risks, and opportunities across multiple functions and business units.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment among procurement, engineering, quality, supply chain, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead strategic investigations, develop recommendations, and prepare executive-level presentations and decision materials.
  • Coordinate governance activities, reporting, and executive business reviews.
  • Establish and maintain consistent procurement processes, governance standards, and supplier engagement practices.
  • Build collaborative relationships that promote transparency, consistency, and operational excellence.
  • Support early supplier involvement during product development and project planning.
  • Ensure remanufacturing and circularity requirements are incorporated into sourcing strategies and supplier requests for quotation (RFQs).
  • Identify supplier innovation opportunities and promote collaborative business development initiatives.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier capabilities to support long-term procurement strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships that enhance business performance and competitiveness.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen procurement processes and operating models.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, business development, or a related field.
  • Experience leading strategic procurement or sourcing initiatives within a complex business environment.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, operations, and supply chain.
  • Experience managing executive-level stakeholders and presenting business recommendations.
  • Experience developing supplier strategies and managing strategic supplier relationships.
  • Knowledge of remanufacturing, circular economy, sustainability, or lifecycle management principles preferred.
  • Strong understanding of procurement governance, sourcing processes, and supplier engagement strategies.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify strategic opportunities and mitigate business risks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and influence stakeholders across all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.


Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, or a related field preferred.
