Staffmark is hiring an experienced Punch Press Operator to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. If you have experience operating stamping presses, punch presses, or other production machinery and take pride in producing quality parts while working safely, this temp-to-hire opportunity could be the perfect fit for you. Punch Press Operator Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Punch Press Operator Experience Requirements Previous experience operating punch presses, stamping presses, or similar manufacturing equipment is preferred. Manufacturing or machine shop experience preferred. Basic computer and data entry skills. Experience using production tracking or ERP systems is a plus. Ability to perform quality inspections and accurately document production information. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Punch Press Operator Job Duties Operate automatic, transfer, and robotic stamping press equipment. Set up production jobs using production schedules and setup instructions. Follow packaging and production specifications. Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet manufacturing standards. Enter production, downtime, scrap, and inventory information into the production system. Monitor equipment performance and report mechanical or tooling concerns. Communicate production issues with supervisors and the quality team. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment. Perform additional production duties as assigned. Punch Press Operator Physical Capabilities Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift. Frequent bending, stooping, stretching, reaching, and repetitive hand movements. Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including steel-toe boots and safety glasses.
