Apparel Designer - Knits & Lounge (Womenswear Focus) We're looking for a creative and detail-oriented Apparel Designer to join our team, focusing on cut & sew knits, sweaters, and lounge categories. In this role, you'll bring fresh ideas to life-from concept through execution-while balancing trend, brand identity, and commercial viability. What You'll Do
- Design original apparel concepts across knitwear, sweaters, and lounge categories
- Translate fashion trends into seasonal collections that align with brand direction
- Create sketches, mood boards, and presentation materials to communicate design vision
- Partner closely with sourcing, materials, and product development teams
- Select fabrics, colors, and trims that support both aesthetic and performance goals
- Participate in fit sessions and contribute to garment construction and fit improvements
- Support seasonal line development from concept through production
What You Bring
- 3-7+ years of experience in apparel design, with a focus on knitwear, sweaters, or lounge
- Strong ability to conceptualize and execute original designs
- Deep understanding of fashion trends, color, and fabric development
- Experience working cross-functionally with product development and sourcing teams
- Knowledge of garment construction, fit, and body blocks
- A strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design work
Nice to Have
- Womenswear experience, especially in sleepwear or loungewear
- Expertise in sweater design (yarns, stitch techniques, gauges)
- Experience in fast-paced or high-volume retail environments
- Exposure to global sourcing and vendor collaboration
