- You will plan, schedule, coordinate, and execute major installations, inspections, repairs, and overhauls of rotating equipment, including centrifugal, reciprocating, and screw compressors, centrifugal pumps, expansion turbines, and high- and low-speed gearboxes.
- Lead internal maintenance personnel and contractors in the safe and efficient execution of mechanical maintenance activities, turnarounds, and special projects, including planning and cost estimation.
- Provide onsite and remote technical support, troubleshooting expertise, and independent engineering recommendations to resolve equipment issues and improve asset performance.
- Further, you will support reliability programs by analyzing equipment performance and predictive maintenance data, identifying chronic asset issues, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce repetitive failures.
- Drive timely resolution of critical mechanical issues while balancing safety, reliability, operational, and cost objectives.
- Develop and standardize maintenance documentation, reporting tools, and work processes for rotating equipment used by internal teams and contractors.
- And you will collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, reliability, and contractor teams to ensure the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of mechanical assets.
- Travel approximately 50% domestically to support facility maintenance and reliability activities, provide off-hours support as needed, and work safely in varying field conditions, including elevated work areas.
What makes you great
- You have a minimum 10 years of experience installing, troubleshooting, inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and overhauling rotating equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical expertise in troubleshooting, root cause failure analysis, work planning, cost estimating, and developing overhaul and repair strategies for rotating and fixed equipment.
- Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices for rotating and reciprocating equipment.
- Proficiency in the use of precision measurement tools for equipment inspections, assembly, alignment, and maintenance of rotating equipment.
- You have proficiency with CMMS systems (EAM preferred) and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, lead contractor-supported maintenance activities, and drive issues to successful resolution.
- Strong communication, documentation, recordkeeping, and team collaboration skills.
- Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, completion of a machinist or millwright apprenticeship program, and hands-on experience with vibration analysis and dynamic balancing are preferred.
