The Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist leads a team through complex problem-solving and facilitates cross-functional teams. Advises the executive leadership team, while using continuous improvement and project management methodologies to drive initiatives forward.. Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist Job Responsibilities:
Partners with leaders to support high-profile projects that transform the way we care for patients across our health system, often acting as a strategic advisor system-wide projects sponsored by C-Suite team members. Leads cross-functional teams through a methodical process to assess, improve and sustain results while leveraging Project Management and Continuous Improvement best practices. Develops and delivers project communications which includes executive-level presentations. Coaches clinical and system service team members (executive and c-suite leaders) in Continuous Improvement fundamentals. Applies and teaches the Continuous Improvement toolset (DMAIC, process mapping, standard work, visual management, as examples) for use in a variety of settings including clinical, support, and executive. Participates in creating and promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the team and across the organization by encouraging employees to identify areas for improvement and contributing to the development of a more efficient and effective organization. Mentors and supports the members of the Continuous Improvement team to advance their technical and adaptive skills. May perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience - 5 years of experience with Toyota Production System fluency
- Education - Bachelor's degree in relevant field (or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree)
- Certification - Six Sigma Black Belt within 6 months of hireL
