Position Title: Team Lead III - Physical Flows Division: PPD Supply Chain - SBO Department: Shipping/Receiving and Warehousing FLSA: Non-Exempt Shift Hours: 6:00 AM- 2:00 PM Reports To: Supervisor - Shipping and Receiving POSITION SUMMARY: Provide daily direction and leadership to the Shipping & Receiving teams to meet production, safety and quality goals and objectives.Responsible for ensuring that all receiving documents and functions are completed accurately and on time. Communicates with internal/external customers as required. Control all incoming product and order accuracy to meet the daily business needs. Provides direction to fulltime staff regarding daily tasks on an ongoing basis while handling administrative/clerical responsibilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides expedited movement of materials from receipt through shipment including but not limited to the following: Loading / unloading materials (product, supplies, equipment, etc.); Receipt of inventory and non-inventory materials, using problem solving ability to resolve receipt issues; Stock transfer or delivery to work centers; Complies with all shipping regulations; Provide efficient and accurate processing of returned merchandise; Replenishes pick zones; Performs general warehouse maintenance and cleanliness; Performs inspections of powered industrial equipment; Adheres to all safety and emergency policies and procedures; Completes all work accurately in an organized and timely manner in accordance with production standards; Performs other duties as assigned; Interacts with all departments and levels of employees at the facilities. SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED: Education: High school diploma Experience:
- 3+ years office experience in a warehouse environment
- Preferred: Intermediate level experience using Microsoft Excel and Word and RF scanning equipment.
- Preferred: Haz Mat and Forklift experience
- Must have responsible work habits and good judgment and decision-making ability, self-motivated and detail oriented individual.
- Obtain L'Oreal forklift certification.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to bend, twist and lift up to 35lbs
Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Communicate with inventory management/MRP and confirm delivery of components, finished goods and WIPs
- Schedule inbound freight to comply with the warehouse operations and capacities
- Inspect and receive all inbound freight ensuring L'Oreal quality standards are met
- Optimizes warehouse storage space
- Oversee/ensure validation the weights and dimensions of new products against system input specifications
- Issue all daily, weekly and monthly activity reports through SAP and Excel
- Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety
- Comply with OHSA and other applicable standards
- Reports issues and problems to Management
- Ensure that safety/housekeeping regulations are met and that all employees are working in a safe environment
- Optimize warehouse space capacity
- Review posting failures and inventory status
- Ensure the accuracy of all receiving documents
- Gather and maintain all data and records relative to receiving activities
- Enter data into systems
- Ensure that receiving counts match packing lists and purchase orders
- Assist in resolving any discrepancies
- Collect all documentation for inbound freight and route to the proper record-keeping unit
- Participate in cycle counts and help maintain inventory accuracy
- Perform special projects/tasks as assigned by management
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks when necessary, operate forklift as needed
