Description and Requirements

About the Role

Lenovo is seeking a highly accomplished Strategic Sales Executive to lead growth with some of the world's most advanced AI cloud and Cloud Service Provider customers. This is a high-impact, customer-facing leadership role focused on accelerating adoption of Lenovo's GPU-rich clusters, high-density compute platforms, and rack-scale infrastructure solutions purpose-built for AI-scale workloads.

As the primary strategic account leader, you will own executive relationships, shape long-term account strategy, and drive large-scale infrastructure opportunities from early engagement through deployment and "power-on." You will operate as a trusted advisor to senior customer leaders while orchestrating Lenovo's Engineering, Technical Sales, Services, Finance, Supply Chain, Inside Sales, and Global Fulfillment teams to deliver differentiated customer outcomes.

This role is ideal for a seasoned sales executive with deep experience in AI infrastructure, cloud platforms, data center solutions, or high-performance compute, and a proven track record of scaling strategic accounts, leading complex global sales cycles, and closing enterprise-scale opportunities.

The position is remote with a preference for the Seattle, WA area, aligned to PST business hours, and requires significant customer travel for executive meetings, QBRs, factory tours, industry events, and strategic account engagements.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Account Leadership

  • Own and grow Lenovo's relationship with named AI cloud and CSP customers, including revenue growth, wallet share, account profitability, customer satisfaction, and long-term partnership expansion.
  • Define and execute the strategic vision for assigned accounts, identifying new lines of business, emerging opportunities, and expansion paths within existing customer environments.
  • Serve as the primary executive focal point for senior customer stakeholders, including CTOs, infrastructure leaders, procurement executives, and business decision-makers.
  • Build trusted C-suite relationships that position Lenovo for early engagement and "first look" consideration on future AI infrastructure builds.
  • Advocate for the customer across Lenovo, ensuring internal alignment, timely communication, issue resolution, and consistent execution against customer priorities.

AI Infrastructure & Solution Orchestration

  • Collaborate closely with Technical Sales, Services, Engineering, and Product teams to design bespoke GPU, rack-scale, and high-density compute solutions for AI-scale workloads.
  • Translate customer requirements around performance, thermal design, power density, deployment timing, and operational scale into differentiated Lenovo infrastructure solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional internal and external meetings that keep strategic opportunities moving forward with clarity, accountability, and urgency.
  • Maintain disciplined account plans, opportunity roadmaps, task trackers, executive updates, and customer-facing materials that support flawless execution.
  • Coordinate across global time zones with fulfillment, supply chain, engineering, and customer teams to ensure deployment schedules and operational commitments remain aligned.

Commercial Execution & Bid Leadership

  • Lead large-scale RFP responses and complex commercial engagements, owning the overall bid strategy while partnering with Inside Sales and cross-functional teams on execution.
  • Manage strategic negotiations that balance customer requirements, Lenovo capabilities, profitability, risk, supply constraints, and long-term account value.
  • Partner with Finance to analyze P&L data, margin targets, business cases, and account profitability to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Drive full lifecycle execution from opportunity identification through contracting, fulfillment, deployment, and power-on.
  • Represent Lenovo in high-impact customer forums, including in-person QBRs, executive briefings, factory tours, and key industry conferences.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of proven success in enterprise technology sales, strategic account leadership, cloud infrastructure, AI infrastructure, data center, OEM, ODM, or related technology markets.
  • Demonstrated experience growing and scaling cloud, infrastructure, compute, SaaS, data services, or high-performance technology businesses.
  • 10+ years of experience operating in a complex, matrixed global organization.
  • Proven ability to engage comfortably and credibly with C-suite executives and senior technical decision-makers.
  • Strong track record leading complex enterprise sales cycles, strategic account plans, and large-scale infrastructure opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in roles such as Global Account Executive, Strategic Account Executive, Account Manager, Cloud Sales Leader, Infrastructure Sales Executive, or Server Sales Specialist.
  • Deep understanding of AI infrastructure, GPU platforms, high-density compute, rack-scale architecture, data center operations, and cloud service provider business models.
  • Demonstrated success defining long-term account strategy while executing tactical plans that deliver measurable revenue growth.
  • Experience leading full lifecycle sales from opportunity creation through deployment and customer acceptance.
  • Proven success leading global RFPs, complex bid strategies, and large-scale commercial negotiations.
  • Ability to drive data-informed decisions in partnership with Finance, Supply Chain, Technical Sales, Services, Engineering, Inside Sales, and executive leadership.
  • Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex technical and commercial topics for senior stakeholders.
  • Exceptional prioritization, documentation, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and project/account management platforms.
