Your Role

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Site Technology Leader for our Port Hudson, Louisiana tissue manufacturing facility. In this role, you will serve as the site's technology leader and a key partner to mill leadership, ensuring technology systems that support operations remain reliable, secure, and aligned with business needs.

You will lead the local technology team while partnering with operations, engineering, process control, automation, and enterprise technology organizations to support manufacturing performance. This role combines people leadership, operational execution, and business partnership. You will develop team members, establish priorities, and help drive technology initiatives that improve reliability, cybersecurity, and operational effectiveness.

Your work will directly impact mill performance by ensuring technology investments, support activities, and improvement efforts deliver meaningful business value.

This role is required to be onsite and the applicant must either live in the local area or be open to relocating prior to starting for the role.

Our Team

The Port Hudson Site Services team is a highly engaged group of IT and OT professionals dedicated to enabling safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations. We combine strong technical expertise with a collaborative, customer-focused approach, partnering closely with Process Control, Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, and enterprise teams to solve problems and drive continuous improvement across the mill.

What You Will Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop the site IT team by setting clear expectations, building capability, and fostering a culture of ownership and continuous learning
  • Partner with process control, engineering, and corporate IT capabilities to connect resources and solve problems quickly and sustainably
  • Own and execute the site technical roadmap in partnership with mill leadership to improve reliability, enable manufacturing transformation, and deliver continuous improvement
  • Run ITIL-aligned operations (incident, problem, change) including stakeholder communication, root cause follow-up, and escalation ownership for production-impacting events
  • Track and improve service performance using ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and KPIs/SLAs such as backlog, repeat incidents, and MTTR
  • Lead site-based IT projects end-to-end - from scoping through implementation, training, and sustainment
  • Champion cybersecurity and process-control security practices, ensuring secure-by-design solutions across the site
  • Support and improve site IT/OT infrastructure including networks, servers, endpoints, and OT connectivity, with a focus on architecture, segmentation, and reliability

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience supporting or managing IT/OT infrastructure, including networks, servers, endpoints, and connectivity
  • Experience delivering IT projects with measurable outcomes (scope, schedule, adoption, and sustainment)
  • Experience communicating technical information to operational partners and leadership stakeholders
  • Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience leading and developing technical teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience partnering with operations, maintenance, engineering, and process control teams
  • Experience securing and segmenting plant-floor OT environments (e.g., industrial zoning/segmentation, secure remote access, ISA/IEC 62443 concepts)
  • Experience working with Industrial Control Systems (ICS) or manufacturing platforms such as OSI PI Historian, Kepware, FactoryTalk, Experion, DeltaV, or Foxboro
  • Experience with IT service management practices and tools (e.g., ITIL, ServiceNow), including KPI/SLA reporting and continuous improvement
  • Experience driving change in a 24/7 manufacturing environment, including standardization, adoption, and sustainment
