Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Team Leader supervises a small team of Quality Assurance Technicians and is responsible for monitoring and ensuring products are safe and meet customer expectations. Responsible for maintaining procedural requirements of ZOLL's complaint handling process and event reporting systems. Also, assist group with complaint processing milestones and day to day priorities.

Essential Functions

  • Review and close product complaints and/or document investigation results.
  • Perform root cause analysis of product. Including:
  • Test units, subassemblies and accessories to identify or confirm failure.
  • Coordinate failure analysis of non-conforming/defective material with vendors and outside laboratories
  • Propose corrective actions on an as needed basis.
  • Assist Quality Assurance Group Leader in coordinating and monitoring department activities such as:
  • Report on unresolved problems to Group Leader
  • May attend management meetings to represent work group and record minutes of meeting.
  • May conduct work group meetings to relay management information to workers and solicit response to work-related problems.
  • May perform duties of absent workers to maintain work schedules

Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Associate's Degree preferred
  • 4-6 years preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, quality tools and procedures related to electronics technology in a medical device environment
  • Sufficient skills in a MS Windows environment. Ability to work with MS Office, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word
  • Knowledge of FDA QSR
  • Knowledge of Vigilance, Canadian, and other international regulations strongly preferred
  • Ability to provide leadership, communicate and work effectively within a multi-disciplined organization
  • Demonstrate ability to direct, coach, and train Associates as well as monitor work
  • Experience with ESD handling and electro-mechanical assembly methods
  • Experience with mechanical and electronic test equipment

The hourly pay rate for this position is:

$30.00 to $45.00
