The ICT/Security BIM Coordinator will be expected to complete a variety of project tasks including but not limited to the following:

* General engineering knowledge of either the telecommunication (Horizontal/Backbone cabling and pathways) or electronic security systems (communications, electronic controls, CCTV, access control, UPS, etc.) and operational coordination with commercial hardware.

* Take direction from project engineer and designers to evaluate, define and review customer needs/objectives and insure those requirements are meet within the project design.

* Define and develop complete project related construction documents to include all design documents (SD, DD, CD) to show design intent, project specifications and assist with system related activities within all construction administration (CA) activities.

* Coordinate with integrated, multidisciplinary project teams to develop functional requirements, system designs and other project related requirements.

* Maintain knowledge of current industry product offerings and research new emerging technologies.

* Assist in problem resolution and technical troubleshooting when field support is needed.

Required Qualifications
  • Technical degree or a combination of education and related industry experience
  • A minimum of 5 years related industry experience
  • Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructure
  • Advanced skillset of 3D Coordination tool
  • Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools
  • Advanced understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
  • Knowledge of industry standards and practices, along with discipline codes and specifications
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and organizational traits are essential
