The USC Office of Admission is seeking a Senior Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission to join its team.

The Senior Assistant Director manages all aspects of an assigned recruitment and admission territory on behalf of the University. This position represents USC at high schools, community colleges, and recruitment events throughout the country, presenting to school counselors, prospective students, and families.

As a member of the Undergraduate Admission team, the Senior Assistant Director provides consultative guidance to students and families throughout the college search and selection process. This role also serves as a resource and subject matter expert on the college admission process for school counselors, principals, and school leaders within assigned territories.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Managing all recruitment and admission activities for an assigned geographic territory, school group, and/or targeted student population.

* Presenting information about USC and the admission process at high schools, community colleges, and recruitment events throughout the country.

* Advising prospective students and families regarding the college search, application, and selection process.

* Evaluating undergraduate admission applications using both quantitative and qualitative criteria and making admission recommendations and decisions.

* Providing leadership, guidance, training, and direction to newer admission officers.

* Developing and implementing strategic initiatives that support the University's enrollment goals.

* Managing specialized program areas, which may include merit scholarship evaluation, multicultural recruitment, student-athlete evaluation, staff training, alumni recruitment, event planning, and outreach.

* Researching and evaluating the demographic and academic characteristics of assigned recruitment territories and student populations.

* Developing annual recruitment and outreach plans based on market analysis, enrollment trends, and competitive intelligence.

The successful candidate will possess strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and marketing skills. Experienced admission professionals are encouraged to apply.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $81,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
