Senior Electrical Maintenance Technician

Job Description

• To Perform Repair And Maintenance Task For All Electrical And Electronic Fedex Facilities And Equipment; To Maintain All Electrical Equipment To National, State Or Local Codes.
• Perform daily, weekly ,monthly and yearly Pm's on all electrical equipment at the AOC ramps and facilities
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment such as Motor Control Centers, Switchgear, Substations and 400 hertz aircraft power
• Repairing of all lighting systems
• Converting original lighting to new Led style fixtures in Sorting buildings and Aircraft hangars, and Pole lights
• Responding to fire alarm and other emergency calls
• Supporting Sort technicians with any sorting equipment calls
• Repair of all fueling system issues
• Snow removal - Operating snow removal equipment: Spray trucks, Plow trucks and all other Snow removal equipment

Additional Details: Shelby County Journeyman Electrician License is a requirement for the position.

Minimum Education

• High school diploma/GED

Minimum Experience

• Six (6) Years Journeyman Experience, Of Which 24 Months Being As A Fedex Technician (Electrical), Or 24 Months Of Maintenance Experience On Similar Equipment/Systems In A Commercial/ Industrial Electrical Maintenance.
• License Requirements Are Per The Local Authority Having Jurisdiction.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Valid driver's license required.
• Must possess good working knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment and procedures.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavy facilities related components, parts and equipment with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Ability to access equipment by crawling, laying, standing and/or climbing at all heights both above and below ground.
• Good interpersonal and oral communication skills.

Job Conditions

• Non-covered safety sensitive position; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Must be willing to work odd work weeks, overtime, holidays and rotating shifts.

Work Location

The desired location for this position would be Memphis, TN. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location.
