TV Station Job Description
KOMU 8 News is looking for a television news producer to help lead our morning newscast. We're seeking someone who has strong editorial judgment, collaborates well with others, and enjoys building energetic, viewer-focused shows to help mid-Missouri start their day. This is more than a producing job. As part of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, you'll work alongside professional journalists and help mentor the next generation of television producers and reporters. The ideal candidate is someone who can balance the responsibilities of producing and student coaching while maintaining a calm approach under daily deadline pressure. We're looking for someone who is dependable, organized, decisive, and excited to help shape a morning show that serves viewers across mid-Missouri on every platform. Duties and Responsibilities * Produce engaging, audience-focused morning newscasts Shift
12am-8am, Tuesday - Saturday Minimum Qualifications
An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications
*Professional experience producing local television newscasts Anticipated Hiring Range
