Job Title: Implementation Engineer / Telecommunications Engineer - III
Location(s): Indianapolis, IN
Job Summary: The Implementation Engineer / Telecommunications Engineer - III is responsible for performing detailed location-specific equipment engineering, managing database administration, and building automated reports. The role requires ensuring compliance with engineering standards and collaborating with teams to resolve technical issues. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed location-specific equipment engineering, including developing specifications for installation, inventory, and configuration of equipment.
- Act as an experienced Database Administrator (DBA), updating organizational databases and related applications.
- Build automated reports using Google Apps and Tableau.
- Ensure work meets all applicable engineering, financial, planning, and operational/national standards.
- Manage, input, and update IFP, XNG, and SPM to reflect new builds, adds, and decommissions.
- Document network elements such as technical facility, location, bay/shelf, and alarm points with necessary identifiers and labels.
- Engineer floor space, rack space, and hardware for all equipment in locations.
- Engineer placement and cable measurements, provide power, fuse, and breaker assignments, and engineer equipment cooling and airflow.
- Create workflows in required systems and communicate issues to lead engineers.
- Recommend changes to processes for national impact.
- Work daily in engineering systems including UUI/CoFEE, ICON, CCP, VPNS, ACTP, Venue, and FUZE.
Required Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in location-specific equipment engineering.
- 5-7 years of experience in database administration with Google Apps (Docs, Forms, automation).
- 3-5 years of experience in Tableau reporting and automation.
Desired Skills:
- Strong knowledge of engineering standards and compliance.
- Experience with workflow creation and process improvement.
- Familiarity with national engineering systems such as UUI/CoFEE, ICON, CCP, VPNS, ACTP, Venue, and FUZE.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across multiple regions.
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- Certifications in Database Administration, Google Apps development, or Tableau are desired.
