Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) -Inpatient Psychiatry (P6)

0-1 years of experience eligible for $2,000 (full time)

1+ years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)

0-1 years of experience eligible for $1,250 (part-time)

1+ years of experience eligible for $2,500 (part-time)

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Unit Bio:

P6 (Pavilion 6) is the 21 bed Inpatient Psychiatry unit at Maine Medical Center. Over the years it has evolved from a traditional psychiatric unit to one that serves an increasingly medically complex population with a particular emphasis on Geriatric Psychiatry. All patients on P6 have both a major psychiatric illness, as well as a medical comorbidity that requires an inpatient level of care. We are excited to grow our interdisciplinary team and welcome all applicants from those new to Psychiatry, to those who have many years of experience.

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurses and according to defined policies and procedures, performs various service duties and technicaltasks such as taking vital signs and assisting patients with basic hygiene and activities of daily living. Specific duties may vary by area of assignment. Consideration of the special needs and behaviors of specific patient populations is required.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
3. Experience: One year of relevant experience required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Certified Nursing Assistant I role.

The pay range for this position is $20.27to $24.36 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
