Job Summary

The Material Handleris responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring materials are delivered to the appropriate departments in a timely manner to support manufacturing and assembly operations. This role performs inventory transactions, material movements, cycle counting, and work order processing while maintaining compliance with quality and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in inventory control within a regulated manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities



  • Perform physical and system-based material movements to support manufacturing operations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure inventory integrity.
  • Generate work orders using the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Process work order receipts accurately within the ERP system.
  • Perform cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
  • Support the coordination and flow of materials through manufacturing and assembly operations.
  • Deliver materials to designated production and inventory locations in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational goals.
  • Handle approved chemicals safely following required training and established procedures.
  • Support Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and other regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Follow applicable FDA regulations, company policies, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Work overtime as required to meet business needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • Minimum of one (1) year of inventory control experience, preferably in a regulated manufacturing environment such as medical device, pharmaceutical, or similar industries.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for inventory transactions and work order processing.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, material handling, and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to accurately perform cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to safely handle materials and approved chemicals following proper training and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain compliance with FDA regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Willingness to work overtime as business needs require.


Education



  • High school diploma or GED required.


Work Experience



  • Minimum of one (1) year of inventory control or material handling experience.
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, such as medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing, preferred.
  • Experience using ERP systems for inventory management and work order processing preferred.
