DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the review and processing of insurance and registration documentation to help ensure compliance with state requirements. The work involves examining records, entering data, and making determinations about customer transactions. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Document Review: Examine financial responsibility forms, correspondence, and supporting records with care
- Record Processing: Enter information into required systems and apply proper codes based on documentation
- Mail Handling: Open, track, and process certified and unclaimed mail within the section
- Phone Verification: Contact insurance agents and departments to confirm coverage details and request needed documents
- Workflow Accuracy: Meet production standards and maintain required quality levels while routing items appropriately

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday-Friday, with a 1 hour lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
