Multiple Shifts Available | Omaha, NE

Interstate Power Systems $35.00 - $50.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Available Shifts



  • 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
  • 3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

What You'll Do



  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and related systems
  • Perform troubleshooting on electrical, fuel, cooling, drivetrain, hydraulic, and aftertreatment systems
  • Complete preventative maintenance and major component repairs
  • Use diagnostic software, technical manuals, and computerized troubleshooting tools
  • Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend repair solutions
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and repair records
  • Work safely and efficiently while delivering high-quality workmanship


What We're Looking For



  • Previous experience as a diesel technician, diesel mechanic, heavy equipment mechanic, fleet mechanic, truck technician, or related role
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to diagnose and repair diesel-powered equipment
  • Experience with electronic diagnostics and repair software is preferred
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and customer service
  • Valid driver's license required


Preferred Qualifications



  • OEM certifications (Detroit Diesel, Cummins, Allison, Volvo, MTU, or similar)
  • Technical school or diesel technology training
  • CDL or willingness to obtain one
  • Advanced diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting experience
