The USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences is seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic professional to serve as an Assistant Director for Dornsife Admission and Student Success. The Assistant Director will assist with recruitment, outreach, and support strategies for undergraduate admission and retention efforts within USC Dornsife. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and organized, and will be a strong communicator (both in written and oral communication).

Duties for this position may include:

  • Leading in-person and virtual information sessions to educate prospective students about USC's liberal arts college and counsel these students regarding university admission policies and procedures. Following up on applicant inquiries and offering solutions to admission-related questions.

  • Managing a group of undergraduate student volunteers working with admission-related projects and events.

  • Participating in the planning and execution of recruitment and conversion events for undergraduate admission efforts. Representing the Dornsife College at University events.

  • Overseeing the Dornsife Office of Admission and Student Success' logistical and material management.

  • Assisting with data collection and reporting.

  • Staying current on a wide range of university policies, school-wide policies, and educational trends affecting undergraduate students, admission, and retention efforts.

Hourly range:The hourly rate range for this position is $29.42 - $32.64. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer alignment, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. The university reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong background in public speaking and both written and oral communication. Experience with MS Office software. Ability to set priorities to complete tasks in the face of changing priorities.
