The Research Programs Coordinator/Assist to Associate Dena for Research provides comprehensive administrative, operational, and programmatic support to the Associate Dean for Research and the Program Director for Craniofacial Biology and her Research Lab. Serving as a key liaison among faculty, researchers, trainees, staff, university leadership, and external partners, this position plays a critical role in ensuring the effective coordination and execution of research, educational, and departmental initiatives. The incumbent manages a broad range of administrative and programmatic activities, facilitates communication across diverse stakeholders, coordinates projects and events, and supports strategic priorities that advance the research and academic missions of the UCSF School of Dentistry. This position is shared between two areas of responsibility, with approximately 40% effort dedicated to the Program in Craniofacial Biology, 20% Selleri's Research Lab, and 40% effort dedicated to supporting the Associate Dean for Research. The incumbent must effectively balance competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, and work independently while maintaining strong collaborative relationships across the School of Dentistry and the broader UCSF community. See attached JD. This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF School of Dentistry locations. Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training. 1+ years of related experience Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns. Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff verbally and in writing. Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs. Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF School of Dentistry locations.
