Overview

The Food Service District Manager (FSDM) is responsible for leading, executing, and continuously improving food service operations across a designated group of convenience store locations. This role provides direct oversight of fas Craves, Full Deli/Chicken, and other food service concepts, ensuring consistent food safety, operational excellence, strong financial performance, and a brandaligned customer experience.

The Food Service District Manager (FSDM) works in close partnership with Store Managers, Deli Managers, District Managers, vendor partners, and cross-functional support teams to drive food service sales growth, improve profitability, and ensure compliance with food safety and company standards. Reporting to the Regional Manager, this role holds P&L responsibility for food service categories within the assigned district and acts as the field subject matter expert on food service execution.



Responsibilities

    Operational Leadership

    • Lead food service execution across approximately 12-16 convenience store locations, ensuring consistent adherence to company food service standards.
    • Conduct regular site visits to evaluate food quality, cleanliness, equipment condition, merchandising, and execute sales iinitaives.
    • Ensure all approved food programs (including Fas Craves, deli, chicken, hot & cold grabandgo, bakery, and beverage where applicable) are executed at or above company standards.
    • Partner with corporate and fieldbased support teams (Food Service, Operations, Facilities, Supply Chain, HR, IT, and Training) to support consistent execution, address operational barriers, and ensure alignment between field needs and company initiatives.

    Food Safety & Compliance

    • Enforce strict compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
    • Ensure consistent execution of temperature logs, cleaning schedules, inventory rotation, code dating, and any other require food service processes.
    • Partner with Store and Deli Managers to address audit findings, customer complaints, and food safety risks promptly and effectively.

    Financial Performance & P&L Accountability

    • Drive food service sales growth, margin performance, and waste reduction across assigned locations.
    • Responsible for food service P&L results, focusing on increasing sales, controllable costs including labor, inventory control, spoilage, supplies and ordering accuracy.
    • Responsible for accurate inventory processes and compliance with company inventory and ordering programs.

    People Development

    • Coach, train, and develop Food Managers and food service leaders on food execution, labor planning, inventory control, and operational discipline.
    • Responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of food service team members.
    • Responsible for stores labor guidelines, achieving food service budget while assisting total store customer service activities during non-production food service times
    • Build bench strength and develop future foodcapable leaders within the district.

    Vendor & Program Execution

    • Partner with approved vendors to ensure product availability, quality, and execution of promotional and branded food programs.
    • Ensure successful execution of new food programs, equipment rollouts, and process changes.
    • Serve as the field subjectmatter expert for food service initiatives and operational enhancements.

    Customer Experience

    • Responsible for food service, bakery, roller grill, hot, cold and frozen beverage areas consistently meeting daily and weekly cleanliness, food quality, and presentation standards.
    • Ensure Food Service Staff deliver company customer experience and Pride visit programs with a focus on foodrelated metrics and servicing customers at pay points.
    • Reinforce brand standards through coaching, followup, and corrective action as needed.

    Reporting & Communication

    • Communicate results, risks, and opportunities related to food service performance to Regional and Food Service leadership.
    • Complete required reports, audits, and documentation accurately and on time.
    • Participate in special projects and crossfunctional initiatives as assigned.
    Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in food service management, preferably in a multi-unit retail environment
  • Proven track record of increasing sales and profitability in food service operations
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in data analysis and financial management
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices

Ability to travel frequently within the assigned district
