Receptionist

DNA Learning Center Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, a world-renowned scientific research organization located on the North Shore of Long Island, is seeking a part-time Receptionist to join a small administrative team at the Dolan DNA Learning Center.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
*Answering phones
*Meeting and greeting teachers, students, and visitors
*Creating purchasing requisitions and work orders
*Handling registrations, data entry and filing
*Invoicing and collecting money from schools/ organizations
*Distributing department mail
*Assisting with emailing campaigns and other administrative projects
*Managing staff calendars

EDUCATION: Associate's degree or equivalent experience

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Two years secretarial/administrative experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail is imperative.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook & Excel.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly rate for this role is $19.00-$23.00. The salary range or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential
base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and
may be modified in the future. When determining a base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable
(e.g., years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity).
