Restaurant In Room Server Overview: The server is responsible for delivering food orders to guest rooms and providing exceptional service. This position will create memorable experiences for all guests enjoying the food and beverage experience. Responsibilities: * Acknowledge and greet all guests, anticipate guest needs and respond to guest inquiries or requests. * Must have full knowledge of food and beverage offerings. * Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of work areas and equipment. * Keep all supplies fresh and well-stocked. * Prepare RIR trays with appropriate mis en place according to the order. * Co-ordinate with order taking agent and Culinary staff regarding any special requests or dietary restrictions. * Co-ordinate, prepare and deliver all food and beverage amenities to guest rooms. * Engage guests following Omni standards and Power of Engagement training. * Deliver and serve the order following specific departmental standards and steps of service. * Contribute to a professional workplace that maximized employee moral, productivity and effectiveness. Works well with a diverse FOH and BOH staff. * Perform additional responsibilities although not detailed, as requested by a manager. * Ensure responsible service of alcohol by following all legal requirements including carding and consumption. * Follow daily checklists and side work (re-stocking and cleaning). * Comply with direction and instruction from the management team. Qualifications: * Ability to bend and reach above head holding up to 10 pounds frequently * Minimum 1year serving experience, high volume & casual environment preferred. * Must have full knowledge of menus, liquor, beer, cocktails and any other pertinent information. * Must have strong communication skills speaking with enthusiasm. * Must be at least 18 years of age. * Must have problem solving abilities, be self motivated and organized. * Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. * Must be able to work under minimal or moderate supervision. * Must be flexible with schedules including weekends and holidays. * Ability to stand for extended periods of time (at least 8 hours/shift). * Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry moderate weight. * Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods of time, with frequent bending and twisting. * Must be able to attain a valid Food Handler certification and ABLE License upon hire.
