Department 10015 Information ResourcesPay Range $123,635.20 - $206,065.60 The Lead Application Analyst serves as a key member of the HSCSN technology team, providing technical leadership for application solutions that support health plan operations, regulatory compliance, and the organization's health plan transformation efforts. Working closely with stakeholders across the health plan, this role leads the design, configuration, testing, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of business applications that enable core functions including claims, membership and eligibility, provider operations, utilization management, care management, appeals and grievances, and other critical business processes. The Lead Application Analyst establishes and promotes best practices, provides guidance and mentorship to application team members, and partners with operational and technology leaders to deliver scalable, effective, and user-centered solutions that align with organizational priorities. The successful candidate combines deep knowledge of healthcare payer operations and application support with strong technical, analytical, and communication skills, and a commitment to improving enrollee outcomes and organizational performance through technology. Experience with healthcare payer operations and enterprise business applications is preferred; experience with Epic technologies is a plus. The Epic Application Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of Epic Application Analysts in the design, build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of Clinical or Revenue Cycle applications. This leadership role includes delegating tasks, ensuring optimal workflow, and providing technical and strategic oversight to the team. The Team Lead drives system improvements, facilitates cross-functional collaboration, and leads initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and system performance. Acting as a key liaison between clinical, financial, and operational stakeholders, the Team Lead ensures that the team delivers solutions that optimize system functionality, improve user experience, and align with organizational goals. This position requires advanced technical expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to manage complex application challenges while ensuring the team's success. Minimum EducationBachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with major course work in computer science, Information Technology, engineering, or equivalent related experience. (Required) Minimum Work Experience 10 years Ten (10) years of experience in the analysis, design, build, testing, and maintenance of Epic EMR or other EMR applications, with a strong understanding of healthcare workflows related to electronic medical record systems. (Required) 10 years Preferred: Working knowledge and subject matter expertise in the assigned operational department area. (Preferred) Required Skills/Knowledge Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills - Expertise in analyzing complex technical and functional issues, troubleshooting system performance, and devising strategic solutions to enhance healthcare and revenue cycle workflows. Communication & Interpersonal Skills - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams, deliver clear and concise documentation, and engage diverse stakeholders in meaningful discussions. Project Coordination & Time Management - Skilled in managing competing priorities and overseeing multiple projects, ensuring delivery of high-quality results on time while maintaining the ability to handle larger, more complex initiatives. Healthcare & Revenue Cycle Knowledge - Advanced understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and revenue cycle management, with a proven ability to align Epic system functionality to meet organizational needs and objectives. Adaptability & Resilience - Demonstrates flexibility in adapting to changing business needs, remains composed under pressure, and successfully navigates and drives change in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Collaboration & Teamwork - A proactive leader and team player who builds strong relationships, offers constructive feedback, and consistently works to achieve organizational goals through collaboration and mutual support. Change Management & Change Agent - Experienced in managing and driving change within the organization by influencing stakeholders, guiding teams through transitions, and ensuring the smooth adoption of new processes and technologies. Integrity & Professionalism - Maintains the highest level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism, particularly when handling complex or high-pressure situations, while strictly adhering to organizational policies and procedures. The disclosed salary range includes the minimum and maximum rates within which Children's National believes an individual's base pay rate will fall for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the maximum of the pay range. The exact pay rate for this position will be based on a variety of factors in alignment with the Children's National compensation philosophy. These factors are legitimate and non-discriminatory including, but not limited to, the current market conditions; organizational needs; the individual's combination of prior work experience, level of education, knowledge, skills, and other qualifications.
