Position Summary/ Department Summary:
Leads moderately complex-to-complex projects within the scope of the department. Provides project management, analytics reporting and accountability. Develops and documents project plans and timelines. Plans, prioritizes and executes a broad range of initiatives and activities to ensure successful design, implementation and measurement of projects and initiatives. Learns and applies new content expertise to meet project objectives. Measures and reports success of the initiatives against metrics. Recommends process improvement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Works closely with senior management to ensure project charter or framework alignment with department's goals, strategy and scope of work. Ensures consideration of other relevant guidelines including goals defined by executive sponsors, contract deliverables, or other mandates.
  • Leads assigned projects, coordinating with department staff, key workgroups, steering committees, provider partners and leaders to effectively design project charters, pilots and programs. Provides leadership and guidance to Project Managers, Coordinators and Interns as needed.
  • Leads and prioritizes multiple concurrent projects/programs, and manages changing priorities, escalating issues and re-setting priorities as needed to meet deadlines and goals.
  • Works independently and closely with staff to develop business plans for organizational priority initiatives, identifying opportunities and developing recommendations for leadership.
  • Identifies and refines analysis for projects, developing analytic and quantitative frameworks/models to assess the feasibility of new opportunities with department stakeholders. Utilizes data to support decision-making.
  • Effectively facilitates cross-functional meetings to successfully collaborate and build consensus with other staff and stakeholders.
  • Monitors, evaluates and reports on the progress of projects. Anticipates barriers, communicating major issues and proposed approaches to senior leadership to inform decision-making.
  • Produces and executes presentations. Support strategy and program design. Utilizes internal communication, analytics and project management expertise to support strategy recommendations. May coordinate with area schools and universities for clinical rotations/training of students.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree is required. Master's Degree is preferred.

Experience:
4 years progressive experience in healthcare management, project management, consulting or a closely related field, Master's degree in lieu of two years of work experience is required. 1 year experience managing multiple highly complex projects is preferred.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
