Job Location Duke Rheumatology Clinics in Durham, Raleigh, and Cary, NC Job Summary The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with the Duke Rheumatology Clinics is involved in a training program designed to learn the specialty of rheumatology. The length of training will be based on prior APP experience, with new graduates and experienced APPs encouraged to apply. The PA or NP are credentialed as full members of the medical team and are involved in all aspects of preventative, diagnostic, and therapeutic care to rheumatology patients. The APP will attend lectures, seminars, and laboratories and participate in clinical, hands-on patient care with appropriate oversight by the supervising physician. Primary hours will be Monday through Friday, day shift, with hours flexible to meet the needs of the patients. Upon completion of training the position consist of 8 half-day clinic sessions working at one or more of the Duke Rheumatology Clinics with 2 half-day administrative sessions per week.
