HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE...

As a Quality Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will serve as the primary quality resource during off-shift operations, supporting production teams through auditing, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts that help deliver safe, high-quality products to our customers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO...
  • Conduct daily quality assurance audits and process verifications throughout the facility.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for food safety and quality incidents during off-shift operations.

  • Track, process, and manage finished product holds and dispositions utilizing SAP warehouse inventory management systems.

  • Process vendor non-conformance reports and documentation in SAP.

  • Assist with analytical testing activities and laboratory support functions.

  • Support environmental monitoring programs, including swab collection and laboratory testing.

  • Verify, maintain, calibrate, and document analytical instruments and equipment.

  • Review and verify food safety process controls, quality records, and other required documentation.

  • Maintain organized quality records and filing systems.

  • Manage electronic quality data and assist with data trending, analysis, and reporting.

  • Coordinate and lead daily product evaluations and assessments.

  • Support food safety and quality training initiatives across the facility.

  • Perform additional duties as needed to support Quality Assurance department objectives and food safety management systems.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE... (MUST HAVE)

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to work independently on an off-shift schedule and respond effectively to quality and food safety concerns.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as business needs require.

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE... (NICE TO HAVE)

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.

  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing, quality assurance, food safety, or food production environment.

  • Experience using SAP or other inventory/warehouse management systems.

  • Knowledge of food safety programs, quality systems, environmental monitoring, and laboratory testing procedures.

  • Experience with calibration, verification, and maintenance of laboratory or analytical equipment.

  • Familiarity with data analysis, trend reporting, and continuous improvement processes.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Typical shifts range from 8-12 hours with overtime as required.

  • Shift generally starts as early as 10:00 PM; start times and hours may vary based on production schedules, holidays, and staffing needs.

  • Work may be required on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

  • Manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels.

  • Climate-controlled conditions in some areas and ambient temperatures in others.

  • Floors may be wet or slippery at times.

  • Employees receive two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute meal period per shift.

COMPENSATION
  • Pay: $31.00 per hour

  • Location: 1414 Blue Hills AvenueBloomfield, CT 06002

  • Shift: 3rd Shift

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
