The Eighth College Operations and Programs Analyst (OPA) performs a wide range of duties that require confidentiality, discretion, tact, diplomacy, sound judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills. Duties include, but are not limited to, comprehensive, high-level administrative support to the Provost as well as day-to-day operational management of Eighth College. The College Operations and Programs Analyst serves as the direct link between Eighth College and the Undergraduate Colleges Business Office (UCBO). The incumbent will have responsibility for sustaining and supporting key relationships alongside the planning and execution of select College events such as commencement, faculty seminars, and recognition events. The Eighth College OPA will provide project support to the Provost through the coordination of programs/meetings/special events that enhance interaction between the Provost, current students, parents, alumni, staff, faculty and community advisors and partners. The Operations and Programs Analyst will coordinate special projects which may include organizational research, analysis, documentation, logistics, design, correspondence, and preparation of presentation materials. The Operations and Programs Analyst should demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in a rapidly changing, dynamic-and sometimes, time-pressure-environment, with strong organizational skills and the ability to be flexible with changing demands and priorities. The OPA serves as on-site safety and facility coordinator. The position will manage a high volume of communications and information and must be able to organize, research, track, interpret, analyze, and present information in concise and appropriate formats to a wide range of audiences. The Operations and Programs Analyst is responsible for managing complex calendars with frequent changes and serves as a key representative of the Provost within the UC San Diego community and beyond. As the key staff member supporting the Provost's Office in both intellectual and administrative responsibilities of the College, the OPA serves a critical role in supporting the College's community-engaged mission, careful fiscal management, communication strategies, and coordination across complex teams of students, staff, faculty, and community partners. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $71,806 - $110,977 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $34.39 - $53.15 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). | |
