Title: Audiology Lecturer Executive Area: Academic Affairs College/School/MBU: Public Health/ Health Sciences Department: Speech Lang & Hearing Sci Work Location: Amherst Schedule:Full Time Work Arrangement:Hybrid Job Summary The School of Public Health and Health Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (www.umass.edu/sphhs)is seeking applicants for a full-time, non-tenure track lecturer position (9-month appointment) in the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences to teach in the area of Audiology. Opportunities exist for summer teaching, which would be compensated for in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. The initial appointment period is two years with the possibility of renewal. Essential Functions The successful candidate will be responsible for providing in-person teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels including participation in the AuD capstone process. Providing service to the department, university, community, and profession is also expected. This includes participation on committees, projects, and other activities that support the university, college, and departmental mission. Minimum Qualifications Qualified candidates must hold a minimum of a graduate degree in Audiology, Hearing Sciences or a related field from an accredited university or college, with a PhD or equivalent preferred. Additional Details This position involves exercising considerable initiative, leadership, judgment, responsibility and decision-making. This position is subject to final budgetary and administrative approval. Working Conditions Work is performed in a standard office or indoor university environment and involves minimal physical exertion. Work Schedule and Work Arrangement M-F, variable Salary Information UMass Amherst expects to pay within an approximate range between $65,550 and $114,893 for this position.
