Job Description

This position is responsible for entering spot orders and stainless purchase orders and helping maintain and close purchase orders. The position handles the reconciling/matching of vendor invoices to purchase orders, material receipts and invoice/tag adjustments and may help to expedite orders. The position is also responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of the daily production schedule.



  • Accurately and efficiently enters purchase orders based on approved PO requests
  • Maintains records of all purchase orders, including closing them out
  • Reviews vendor status reports and updates the inventory management system
  • Working with vendors to expedite orders, and communicating with sales, quality, and accounts payable to resolve PO issues.
  • Assists in implementing production schedule day-to-day
  • Alerts Production Planning Specialist or management of any issues that may arise
  • Assist with maintaining appropriate inventory levels to support the sales forecast, at lowest total cost, while meeting or exceeding required inventory turns
  • Assists with physical inventory as needed


Qualifications



  • High School Diploma, GED or commensurate experience
  • 1+ year of experience in purchasing or inventory control, preferably within a manufacturing environment
  • Highly skilled with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
  • Skilled with multi-tasking and prioritizing


Pay Range: $23.00 - $27.00/hour
