The Reliability Engineer will work alongside engineers assisting with research, evaluation and product quality processes. The engineer will maintain an awareness of the current performance levels of company equipment and identify and act on opportunities for improvement. Detailed Description:
Assists engineers with product quality investigations and data analysis Prepares technical reports as it relates to field incidents or damaged-beyond-repair equipment Maintains communication with staff and field operations to provide necessary detail in technical investigations Prepares and submits engineering documentation to engineering team for review, and maintains associated engineering records Participates in engineering projects by conducting tests/experiments and collecting information under the direction of the supervising Engineer Supports and collaborates with other departments within the organization Develop, initiate, and maintain standard operating procedures for the performance of Quality Assurance, Inspection, and Test functions Investigate equipment failures and create root cause analysis reports, QC Inspection Manuals and Standard operating procedures May write and diagram a QC/inspection procedure manuals May establish controls and inspection points to facilitate detection, correction, and prevention of nonconforming materials, parts, assemblies, and products Work with Senior Engineers to conduct analyses per specifications and ensures that documentation is kept per MS Directional standards Ensure that parts and associated documentation are delivered on time, error free and within schedule May test and troubleshoot issues in the shops Assist to prepare and distribute Quality Plans based upon the requirements of the specifications and customer orders Assist the Engineering Team to ensure that quality standards comply with division and departmental policies, National and international codes Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Strong computer skills with ability to utilize Microsoft Office Software, e.g. MS Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel etc., and other discipline specific-software applications (such as SolidWorks CAD) to drive efficiency in productivity Must demonstrate a high level of professional integrity and demeanor Must be self-motivated, capable of identifying problems and recommending alternative solutions Must be a self-starter able to take initiative and drive for results. Must demonstrate high levels of professional integrity and demeanor Ability to manage time effectively and think strategically with a strong attention to detail. Strong written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and written report preparation Able to effectively make technical decisions and manage change requests Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously to meet challenging deadlines
Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with MWD tools Experience working in a team environment Experience with previous engineering internships Experience with Python, and C# Experience with electrical schematics and firmware debugging Experience with root cause analysis and root cause corrective action GPA 2.75 or higher
Additional Details: This job requires the ability to work under time-sensitive deadlines and maintain a calm and professional demeanor when adversity is encountered. It also requires the physical ability to work in office environment including the ability to sit for long periods of time while performing office or computer tasks as well as in a manufacturing shop environment.
