Forklift Operator

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic math skills required for inventory counts, order verification, and shipping documentation.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Experience Requirements

• Previous forklift, material handler, or warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience loading and unloading trucks, staging materials, and moving inventory in a warehouse environment.
• Forklift certification preferred; employer-provided training may be available.
• Experience with inventory control, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment is a plus.

• Familiarity with warehouse procedures, inventory tracking, and material handling equipment.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Willingness to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.
• Must be able to wear required PPE, including steel-toe boots when applicable.

Job Duties

• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to support daily warehouse operations.
• Load, unload, transport, and store products and materials in designated warehouse locations.
• Pick, stage, package, and prepare customer orders for shipment while ensuring accuracy.
• Verify quantities, inspect products for damage, and maintain accurate inventory and shipping records.
• Perform daily equipment inspections, report maintenance concerns, maintain a clean work area, and follow all company safety procedures and operational guidelines.
