Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic computer and data entry skills required.
• Ability to read, understand, and process shipping documents, packing slips, and inventory records.

Experience Requirements

• Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory, or logistics experience preferred.
• Experience loading and unloading trucks and handling incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Familiarity with inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping documentation.
• Forklift experience or certification preferred.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and on your feet for extended periods.

Job Duties

• Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Pick, pack, label, and prepare customer orders for shipment while ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Complete shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping labels, receiving records, and inventory transactions.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move, organize, load, and unload materials safely.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, assist with cycle counts, communicate with carriers and vendors, and maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
