Location: Manor, TX

Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour

Schedule: 9 AM start time | 4 days a week including a weekend day

A leading distributor of chips, snacks, and related food products is seeking a dedicated Sanitation/Janitorial Worker to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary warehouse environment. This role is critical to ensuring our facility meets the high cleanliness standards required for food distribution. The Sanitation/Janitorial Worker will perform cleaning tasks, operate a floor scrubber, and uphold strict hygiene protocols to support a safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working with cleaning equipment in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

Education Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED preferred unless otherwise specified.
  • Additional education, certifications, or vocational training may be beneficial depending on the position.



Experience Requirements

  • Previous janitorial, sanitation, or cleaning experience in a warehouse or food-related environment is a plus.
  • Comfortable and capable of operating a floor scrubber (training provided if needed).
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn food safety and sanitation standards.


Job Duties



  • Clean and sanitize warehouse floors, walls, shelving, and work areas to maintain compliance with food safety standards.
  • Operate a floor scrubber to efficiently clean large warehouse surfaces, ensuring proper maintenance and safe use of the equipment.
  • Remove debris, dust, and spills from the warehouse, including around storage racks and loading docks.
  • Empty trash bins, dispose of waste properly, and ensure recycling protocols are followed.
  • Wipe down and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, equipment controls, and break room areas.
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, reporting low inventory to the supervisor.
  • Follow strict sanitation procedures to prevent contamination of food products, adhering to company and industry regulations (e.g., FDA or USDA standards).
  • Report any pest sightings, structural damage, or safety hazards to the Warehouse Supervisor or Facilities Manager.
  • Assist with periodic deep-cleaning projects as needed, such as during inventory audits or facility inspections.
  • Maintain a neat and organized cleaning storage area.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Previous experience in a related industry or similar position is preferred.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, customer-focused, manufacturing, warehouse, administrative, or professional environments is beneficial depending on the assignment.
  • Relevant certifications, technical training, or specialized skills are considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate adaptability, professionalism, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn are well positioned for success as a Sanitation Worker.
