Overview

Responsible for managing a portfolio of borrowing and non-borrowing clients. This includes client onboarding, client retention and success in deepening the client's relationship with the bank. Serves as the client's dedicated point of contact for deposit and cash management banking needs.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Client Success/Client Retention & Revenue Generation - The Relationship Advisor plays a crucial role in maintaining client satisfaction and driving revenue. They collaborate closely with Relationship Manager and Product Advisor teams to stay informed about client service themes and actively participate in team meetings. Their responsibilities include implementing a customized client outreach plan, conducting regular engagement sessions, and working with product specialists to enhance client relationships. The advisor aims to generate new business opportunities, targeting an average of $10M in new money per client annually.

New Client Onboarding - In this function, the Relationship Advisor guides new clients through the onboarding process. They collaborate with the client's Relationship Manager and Product Advisor to understand the client's strategy and financial needs. The advisor conducts onboarding activities, leads client discussions to identify needs, and independently cross-sells to successfully refer those needs to cash management solutions. They perform product demos independently and focus on gathering necessary documentation to open new services, including product documentation and KYC requirements.

Risk Advice - In this function, the Relationship Advisor provides expert guidance on risk mitigation strategies to combat money laundering and fraud. They are responsible for conducting "Know Your Client" (KYC) reviews for new client onboardings, ensuring compliance with AML requirements. The advisor leads or helps create KYC client discussion focused on fraud mitigation strategies, collaborates with Compliance and operational partners to manage KYC, Sanction and High-Risk Industry and Fraud reviews, and escalates operational risk issues to the appropriate risk officers when necessary.

Client Servicing - This essential function involves managing and resolving client inquiries efficiently. The advisor acknowledges and orchestrates fast resolution of all inbound service inquiries, transitions service calls to appropriate support teams, and resolves complex client issues. They leverage the client's service need as an opportunity to identify broader solutions to support client needs. The advisor is expected to partner with several operational units to achieve desired client outcomes, including ensuring wire teams understand the urgency of client funding requests and delivering clear, agreed-upon Service Level Agreements.

Building Critical Partnerships - The Relationship Advisor is tasked with building and maintaining crucial partnerships both internally and externally. They identify where internal connections are required to meet development goals and regularly interact with various internal teams to manage effective ongoing relationships. The advisor is expected to partner with several operational units to achieve desired client outcomes, working closely with Wire Operations teams to ensure understanding of client funding urgency and collaborating with Account Fulfillment teams to deliver clear Service Level Agreements.

Qualifications:
Minimum Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree and 1 years' experience OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 5 years' experience in financial services

Preferred Qualifications:

Mandarin language proficiency preferred. Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Mandarin is a plus.
