We are seeking a Process Technician 3 to support research and development activities through process testing, equipment operation, sample preparation, and technical experimentation. What You'll Do:
  • Perform technical tests, experiments, and process evaluations in a research and development environment.
  • Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot semiconductor processing equipment.
  • Prepare samples and test materials for engineering evaluations.
  • Process test runs and collect data for engineering analysis and reporting.
  • Create records, charts, graphs, and documentation to support process development activities.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to engineering and process development teams.
  • Monitor process performance and assist in identifying yield, quality, and reliability improvements.
  • Support third-shift operations while maintaining accuracy, safety, and productivity standards.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Engineering Technology, Semiconductor Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting process engineering, laboratory operations, semiconductor manufacturing, or R&D environments.
  • 2+ years of experience performing sample preparation and handling precision materials.
  • 1+ year of experience operating semiconductor processing equipment, etch tools, or related manufacturing equipment.
  • 1+ year of experience performing microscopy, SEM operation, or materials characterization activities.
  • 1+ year of experience with silicon scribing, cleaving, wafer handling, or similar precision material preparation processes.
What Sets You Apart:
  • Experience with thermal paste application and precision assembly techniques.
  • Experience operating Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM) and advanced analytical equipment.
  • Experience supporting semiconductor process development or failure analysis activities.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities.
  • Knowledge of materials science, chemistry, wafer processing, or semiconductor manufacturing principles.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks independently.
  • Experience working in fast-paced research and development environments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and technical teams.
  • Ability to work independently on overnight shifts with minimal supervision.
  • High level of attention to detail and fine motor dexterity for tasks requiring extremely tight tolerances.

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check.
  • Overtime: May be required based on project and business needs.
  • Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM PST (3rd Shift).
