Position Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician
Wage: $37.82/hour + $1.00/hour shift differential Shift: 3rd Hours: 10:00pm-6:00am We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support facility and production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Franklin, WI. This direct hire position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, preventive maintenance experience, and basic electrical knowledge who is interested in continuing to develop their refrigeration and controls experience. Industrial Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility and production equipment - Assist with maintenance and inspections of ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, water heating, boiler, and condenser water systems - Coordinate services with outside contractors supporting ammonia refrigeration systems - Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and annual facility/building inspections and assigned work orders - Maintain refrigeration and maintenance logs, including documentation of labor, materials, and parts - Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns using equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, and electrical diagrams - Perform pump rebuilds, sensor calibrations, PMs, and equipment repairs - Utilize CMMS and maintenance software to document and prioritize work - Operate forklifts, aerial platforms, and other material-handling equipment as needed - Follow LOTO, NFPA 70E, SOPs, GMPs, food safety, quality, and workplace safety requirements - Maintain clean and organized maintenance, refrigeration, and parts-storage areas - Participate in required training, shift meetings, and safety programs - Work occasional weekends and holidays based on business needs Industrial Maintenance Technician Requirements: - 2+ years of relevant industrial maintenance experience; food or dairy manufacturing experience is preferred - High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Mechanical, HVAC, or related field is a plus - Strong mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills - Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical diagrams, equipment manuals, and process drawings - Basic electrical knowledge, including familiarity with NFPA 70E requirements - HMI/PLC troubleshooting skills preferred - Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred but not required - Familiarity with process instrumentation and controls preferred - Experience with CMMS, Microsoft Office, and maintenance/manufacturing software - Ability to complete Basic Ammonia Operator training within 6 months of assignment - CARO or CIRO certification is preferred but not required - Comfortable working around moving equipment and in cold manufacturing/warehouse environments - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb - Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and holidays Benefits: Excellent benefits package and career development opportunities QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
