Now hiring seasonal/short-term cashiers at no less than $14.50/hour based on experience. Starting rate is determined by experience and our Union Pay Scale. Term is for no more than 90 days with the option to stay on long-term which will be determined by employee performance and business needs. You must be available to be scheduled until at least 10:00pm. Days are flexible, but you must be available on our 3 busiest sales days (F, S, S) As a Cashier, you will craft quality customer experiences by providing efficient, effective customer service in the checkout lane that creates a positive and lasting impact on Meijer customers. What You'll Do: As a Cashier, you are the last touchpoint a customer has before leaving our store. You'll: Become knowledgeable on Meijer programs and promotions to best assist customers Create welcoming, memorable checkout experiences that leave a lasting impression Use Meijer systems to complete transactions efficiently and accurately Handle cash and payments responsibly, with attention to detail Communicate clearly and confidently, using friendly eye contact and positive body language Answer customer questions and help resolve concerns with care Build trust and connection that encourages customers to return Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly In short: you'll turn everyday moments into meaningful moments.
